We are looking for a software recommendation for a security access door. We need the software to track the number of persons entering the security door along with how many have swiped their access card. Can an intelligent software solution be created that can track the number of persons on screen along with how close they are to each other? We are looking to track tailgators.

I'm actually interested in this as well. I heard it is possible and that there are add-ons for video analytics software that will allow you to integrate it into a security access point.

At least one supplier of Analytics has a good integration to a variety of electronic access control systems. They know when a valid card is read and can count the number of people who come throught the door in order to prevent tailgating or piggybacking. One key to having this work properly is the camera placement. It must avoid occulsion of the people coming through the door.

Honeywell are a major Access Control player (Win-Pak etc) and I know that they are integrating the Active Eye video analytics product with others from their security product offerings

I have seen this done by Ipsotek on a Channel 4 documentary last year. It was called Civil Liberties or something similar.

They showed it working on London Underground.

i3dvr has an integration with card access panel that will allow you to both analytics and card access on the same machine. See. www.i3dvr.com for more info

Hi, the solution integrated with facial recognition, people counting and access card should be able to solve your problem, which means people need to show their card first, then correct face, if all passed, then he/she is alowed to enter, in the same time, people counting software can count from another angle compared with the numbers counted by access card or faces, then it will triger the alarm if the number is different from two counters. Hope this may help. Laughing

We've done quite a few integrations like this, largely to catch people and vehicles tailgating through secure doors and gates. I don't want to get too commercial on the forum, so you can find more info on our site: http://www.vidient.com.

Take a look at avocadosecurity.com .

They have developed a software platform that works across any manufcturers equipment and provides for video monitoring and pattern analysis. It's really quite unique and really cutting edge.

AMAG Symmetry can do everything you are requesting. If you want to shoot me an email I can have someone contact you. It is different than anything else you are going to come across as it is a single application that does both access control and video. It has a very nice integration with Stentaphone and DMP intrusion also. Because it is one application it has a single database and configuration of all triggers can be accomplished from a single GUI. No integration required. Unlike ONSSI/ S2 where they are not only separate data bases but they are different application made by different vendors. Lenel does it but they are in the same boat now as they no longer support Video Defender and are reselling ONSSI. Genetec comes the closest but even though both Omnicast and Sinergyst are made by Genetec they are serrate application and databases.
You can check it out at the web site AMAG.com. It is as slick as it comes.
