Hi, all

Currently, I am assisting a couple of projects that want to integrate a sophisticated face recognition program for its surveillance system.

at the moment, my team has plan to use Mobotix IP camera for each access point and employ Milestone as its video management system.

as Wes mentioned in another discussion forum, Face Recognition Program is a fairly new product. I agree to this observation. And, I actually search in Internet and found quite a few of Facial Recognition Product. But, now my biggest problem is, how to make sure this is the one that will meet the client's need?

as this project requires the highest standard for its security system and wish its security system can match up with the standard applied to American Military Standard, like the one used for the Pentagon.... is it possible to find a product like that?

Thanks for reading and hopefully the information is enough for you if anyone would like to join the discussion

What products have you found to work with the Mobotix cameras?

This is a solution that we are currently looking to offer (in the UK), and any help would be appreciated.

we offer facial recognition software working with our own ip camera, on the other hand, if you could provide Mobotix interface protocol, then we can integrate for you, Laughing

This algorithm is tricky. To do it right requires that you capture several images then create an amalgam of these that is closest to the reference.
Cernium tried it at Wells Fargo and it is my understanding that, that project had issues and was later scrapped.
The only one I have worked with that really did the job right was IBM S-3. This is however a very expensive solution and requires huge computing power. If someone tells you they can do this effectively with more than 4 channels on single quad processor I would say show that to me in my environment using my criteria before I gave them a dime.
I have not seen one deliver as promised yet.
