It would be cool to see actual snapshots of the software and even some walkthroughs on how to setup specific functions of each software.

Hello Steve,
Thank you for the suggestion. I have started to contact video analytics software companies to get snapshots of their software. I am hoping to list as much information as possible about each video analytics software package to help everyone choose what is best for their camera / video server application.

While not listed on this site, have a look at www.controlbynet.com and there is a demo. I am also frustrated by some of these companies not showing images. I think the real reason is that many are basically just digital vcr's and nobody wants to mess with smaller installs....a lot of these are just looking for the next airport or mall!
