I hear video analytics require fast computers to run. What system requirements will I need to meet in order to run a video analytics software program? Will I be able to find a video analytics software that will be able to run on a standard Pentium 4 computer?

All depends on how many cameras you have, and whether you'll be recording 24x7 or just motion. A P4 with the right sofware and memory (512+) should be able to handle 4-6 cameras if not all constant motion. Let me know if you have any other questions.
