VideoIQ Names Software Development Veteran Sergio Parise Vice President of Engineering

VideoIQ®, Inc. today announced that Sergio Parise has joined the company as vice president of engineering. A respected veteran in software and systems development and integration, Parise’s addition to VideoIQ’s management team further enhances the company’s technology advantage in the video analytics marketplace.

Parise, an accomplished designer of computer software, joined VideoIQ from the Digital Video Systems division of Motorola, where he served as director of engineering. Prior to Motorola, Parise held the position of vice president of engineering for Ucentric Systems, the leading provider of software for the on-demand delivery of in-home digital entertainment services. In this capacity, Parise was responsible for the overall software and systems development process, successfully managing the release of three generations of software platforms that included multi-TV DVR, and whole-home music and photo applications. Previously, Sergio held key roles at Compaq developing the iPAQ platform, and at DEC, driving the portable computer engineering team.

“Sergio’s technical and industry expertise enhances our ability to deliver advanced customer-oriented solutions to the market and reach our ultimate goal of making intelligence part of every surveillance system,” said Scott Schnell, president & CEO of VideoIQ. “He has a wealth of experience and knowledge developing software and hardware platforms and successfully integrating those platforms into both existing and emerging systems. We are delighted to have him as a member of the team.”

VideoIQ offers a one-of-a-kind video analytics solution that transforms video surveillance into a dynamic, real-time intelligent system for guarding against intruders, and for gaining early warning of security breaches in nearly any environment. VideoIQ offers the industry’s best detection accuracy and far fewer false alarms than traditional systems, requiring human response only when a real event takes place.

“The need for intelligent video surveillance solutions is growing every day and VideoIQ is at the forefront of the industry,” said Sergio Parise. “I am thrilled to be part of this first-class team and look forward to leveraging my background in leading our creation of groundbreaking new products that will deliver new customer value in digital surveillance across a wide range of industries and environments.”
