Y-cam SD & Bullet IP Cameras Now Support NAS

Owners of the Y-cam Black SD, Y-cam Bullet and Y-cam Knight SD will be excited to hear the news that they now support recording to network attached storage devices.

New firmware released from Y-cam gives the cameras the ability for NAS support. Various other changes and additions have also been made to the wireless setup and testing features to help ease wifi setup.

Recording to network attached storage devices expands the use of onsite recording without the need of a PC or Mac running IP recording software or the use of a network video recorder. The Y-cam cameras can be configured to record video directly to the NAS by itself without the need of any other 3rd party software or devices - aside from the NAS device of course.

The new NAS feature offers more storage space than the onboard SD memory card slot which currently only supports up to 8GB micro-sd memory cards.
