Vidient Systems, Inc., a leading developer of video analytics and behavior recognition solutions used around the world in security and safety applications, is collaborating at the annual ASIS International conference with a select set of strategic partner

Leading Video Analytics Company Uses Power of Partners to Illustrate Vision of Video Analytics Embedded Universally

Vidient Systems, Inc., a leading developer of video analytics and behavior recognition solutions used around the world in security and safety applications, is collaborating at the annual ASIS International conference with a select set of strategic partners to highlight the company's theme of intelligent video analytics everywhere in which the latest video analytics is embedded universally throughout an organization in numerous components of a company's security infrastructure.

"The security industry is at a critical inflection point and it's apparent no company can go it alone and be an effective solutions provider," said Brooks McChesney, Founder and Chief Client Development Executive of Vidient Systems, Inc. "Customers want comprehensive, highly integrated security and safety solutions, and strong partnerships are what it takes to deliver them. That's at the heart of our ASIS presence this year, and it's core to our strategy of getting powerful video analytics solutions embedded into the critical components of today's most demanding security networks."

To help put bright lights on this concept, Vidient has adopted a 'Now Showing At' theme where each of its select partners is featured in faux movie posters. The movies selected dramatize the need for security and in a playful fashion show how technology is evolving to meet new security challenges. Each poster directs ASIS attendees to partner booths where they can see demonstrations of Vidient's latest video analytics solutions, including the company's flagship product, Vidient SmartCatch 3.0, and its new Vidient IVR2400 intelligent video analytics router, working in concert with partner solutions.

Demonstrations at Vidient's and partners booths will include a range of applications including:

* Human Tail-Gating Detection - SmartCatch® will be integrated seamlessly with leading access control devices to accurately and in real-time demonstrate detection of a human tail-gating violation. This is widely noted in the industry as one of the most difficult security challenges to address, with or without advanced technology.

* Crowd Control - this demonstration will highlight how SmartCatch® easily integrates with existing IT applications as it regularly monitors crowds gathering in various locations and dynamically updates desktop applications, such as Microsoft Excel, with video metadata.

* PDA alert and PTZ control - this demonstration will highlight the SmartCatch® modular, open architecture that makes it easy to integrate with existing and new security and IT systems while providing seamless connection with the widest range of communication devices, from smart phones to pagers to PDAs. This also illustrates the sophisticated response management capabilities of SmartCatch® as the system can trigger alerts from any of its behaviors that are sent to industry standard mobile devices.

Vidient has gained a reputation for proven, reliable video analytics and surveillance solutions through the effective use of Vidient SmartCatch® 3.0 in corporate environments, public facilities and major international airports around the world, including San Francisco International, San Diego International, Finavia-Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, and Tallahassee (Florida) Regional Airport. Vidient will be at booth #213.
