IBM Showcases SightLogix At Pipeline Security Forum 2007

SightLogix' Outdoor Surveillance Solution Uniquely Capable of Securing Distributed Petro-Chemical Critical Infrastructure

IBM showcased SightLogix' automated outdoor surveillance solution at the recently concluded 2007 International Pipeline Security Forum in Ottawa. This annual, invitation-only forum was hosted by the DHS and the Energy Infrastructure Protection Division of Natural Resources Canada.

The Forum leaders identified key challenges in securing the widely distributed petroleum, gas and chemical infrastructure, against all disruptions -- criminal and accidental. IBM showcased SightLogix as the leading solution for providing high security for such industry challenges.

"SightLogix' advanced video surveillance solution is designed for applications where prevention matters," said John Romanowich, President & CEO of SightLogix, Inc. "Video surveillance has historically been reactive and forensic in nature. SightLogix is the first preventive surveillance solution that provides reliable pre-incident information, GPS location of the event and interoperability with distributed IT systems. SightLogix makes enterprise-wide security management and policy control possible, across widely distributed petro-chem supply chains."

SightLogix provides a complete outdoor intelligent video solution, designed to provide preventive information in enterprise class applications. SightLogix' key differentiated value includes reliable detection (eliminate false alarms), simple integration and improved performance in challenging outdoor conditions such as poor lighting and harsh weather conditions. SightLogix' intelligent edge device -- SightSensor -- covers 10X the area of competing cameras, is enclosed in a rugged NEMA4X package and can operate over limited bandwidth, making it ideal for use in large outdoor environments. SightLogix' true edge design makes it the leading solution today for large, remote and distributed areas, many of which have poor installation and communication infrastructure.
